Linky Chronothermostat - Installation
Does the Linky Chronothermostat require an expert for installation?
It is always recommended to call an electrician, but if you have some basic skills, you can install it yourself. It's very simple. A manual with all the instructions is included.
Linky Chronothermostat - Batteries
If I don’t use the Linky Chronothermostat during summer, can I power it off while leaving the SIM card inside, or should I also remove the backup batteries?
You can leave it powered off with the SIM card inserted. However, if it remains off for an extended period, recharge the backup batteries before turning it back on.
Does the included power adapter recharge the batteries, or do I need to purchase an external charger?
The included power adapter is designed to power Linky. Rechargeable batteries, if inserted while already charged, are maintained at full charge by the provided power adapter. If the batteries are not charged when inserted, the adapter can recharge them, but the process is slow since it is not specifically designed as a battery charger.
What is the function of the batteries inside Linky?
The batteries in Linky notify the user in case of a power outage. Once power is restored, the adapter will begin recharging the batteries. As mentioned, this process is not quick, but the batteries will eventually recharge.

What is the purpose of the micro USB port?
It is used by our company to upload the device's firmware.
Linky Chronothermostat - NTC Probe
I have an external NTC probe from my old thermostat, can I use it with Linky?
No, the external NTC probes compatible with the Linky product are those provided by the manufacturer (in this case, our company), as the temperature measurement is based on the physical characteristics of that specific NTC probe model.
Does the Hiteks NTC Probe measure temperatures below zero?
Yes, the Hiteks NTC probe is capable of measuring temperatures below zero.

How does parallel installation work with an in-home room thermostat? Do I need to run wires from the thermostat's output?
The parallel installation works by having two wires run from the Linky relay output, which are then connected to the two output terminals of the home thermostat.

The network operator requires the insertion of a number in the contacts list. Should the number be entered with or without the +39 prefix?
Both versions should be entered:
Send the SMS command AGGIUNGI to add the phone number from which the device should accept SMS commands sent by the distributor to the device’s contacts list. This phone number is provided by the distributor. Add this phone number twice (with and without the international prefix; +39 for Italy). If the distributor provides multiple phone numbers, add all provided phone numbers to the device’s contacts list (each one twice, with and without the international prefix) using the AGGIUNGI SMS command multiple times.

(3451234567 is the phone number provided by the distributor as an example)

Only the phone numbers provided by the distributor should be added to the device’s contacts list.
